Page Law’s $1,000 Scholarship Essay Contest

The Page Law Personal Injury and Family Law Team are well-aware of the huge expense related to higher education. While tuition at American colleges and universities continues to rise, students and their families are often left with significant financial hardship to overcome. To help give back, Page Law is proud to sponsor an annual $1,000 college scholarship essay contest. Details about the contest and how to apply are below.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Applicants must be currently enrolled or planning to attend an accredited United States college or university during the 2017-2018 academic year. People who wish to participate must send their essay as an attachment to an email to by June 30, 2017. In the body of the email, applicants must include the following information:

  • Your name, address, and phone number
  • If you are under 18, contact information for your parents
  • The name of the school you are planning to attend and the course of study
  • The best way to contact you

Once the application period has ended, our staff will review the essays and choose a winner by July 30, 2017. The winner will be chosen considering the following factors:

  • Originality
  • Responsiveness to the question asked
  • The quality of the writing
  • The substantive content of the response
  • Proper use of citations

To participate in the contest, applicants are to write a 600-word essay answering the following question:

According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, aggressive driving plays a role in 66% of traffic fatalities. What are examples of aggressive driving and how can you avoid being the victim of an aggressive driver?
