GeriatricNursing.org is happy to announce that we will be offering our first ever scholarship exclusively for students who choose to get into gerontological nursing.
The “Geriatric Nursing Scholarship for 2017” is open to all U.S. high school seniors who are interested in starting a nursing school in the fall of 2017, or the students who are already in their freshman, sophomore or junior years in college (college seniors are not eligible for this scholarship).
We will award a $1,000 scholarship for a nursing student, who best demonstrates:
- Proven track record of academic achievements
- Passion to work with older adults
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have a permanent resident status
- Must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. nursing program
All students, interested in this scholarship, can find an application here. You are required to submit a 500 word essay on topic “Why I want to be a Geriatric Nurse” with your scholarship application and a proof of enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
Submission deadline for all applications in June 30, 2017.
Winner of the scholarship will be decided by 1st of August 2017, and notified by email/or phone provided. Only the applicant who has been awarded the scholarship will be contacted.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The winner of “Geriatric Nursing Scholarship for 2017” will receive a one-year $1,000 scholarship that may be used to pay for direct education expenses like tuition, supplies and books. The scholarship will be paid directly to recipient’s college or university. The winner will be chosen at the sole discretion of GeriatricNursing.org Scholarship committee.
GeriatricNursing.org has the right to announce the winner of the scholarship publicly and via various media publications, as well as the essay(s) of the applicants on its website.
All personal information will be kept private and will not be used for marketing purposes or be shared with a third party.
